SNATRACE Cannot Purge Trace Files on a Remote System (327893)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the SNA Trace Initiator (Snatrace.exe) to configure tracing on a remote server, and you click the Purge All Trace Files button, the files are not removed from the remote server. You do not receive an error message.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Host Integration Server 2000.

Using the SNA Trace Initiator, an administrator can capture traces on remote computers that are running Host Integration Server 2000 or Host Integration Server 2000 Client software.

Use the following syntax to connect to remote systems:
snatrace.exe \\<ServerName>
