Share Name Already in Use (327677)

SYMPTOMS

When the client applications are reinstalled on the server, an error message is displayed on the component message page at the end of the setup process:
The share name is already in use.

There are no OK or Cancel buttons.

RESOLUTION

The Setup program is providing information that the share name of ClientApps5 is already being used. This is an informational message. This message does not imply that the setup process did not complete successfully.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
