SUMMARY

Some of the fixes (also known as QFEs) for Microsoft Windows XP Embedded come in the form of a new component, which generally involves upgrading an existing component. However, sometimes you may have to revert to the original component version.

MORE INFORMATION

To revert to an earlier version of a component by removing the new version, follow these steps:
  1. If Target Designer and Component Designer are running, quit both programs.
  2. Open Component Database Manager, and then select Package.
  3. In the Available Packages list, select the package name for the component that you want to remove.
  4. Click Delete Package, and then click Yes.
The original component appears again in the repository and can be selected for use in a Target Designer configuration.
