SYMPTOMS

When you try to start any one of the programs listed in the "Applies To" section, you receive the following error message:
Cannot display the End User License Agreement.

CAUSE

This issue may occur when the registry contains information that is not valid.

RESOLUTION

Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk.
To resolve this issue, delete the registry key that is not valid. To do this, follow these steps.
  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
  2. In Registry Editor, locate the following registry key, right-click the registry key, and then click Delete:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Works Suite

When you start the program again, the correct registry key is created.
