error signatures:

where x.x.x.x is a version number
later than 8.5.5104.0. Additionally, other offsets are possible. SYMPTOMS When you access POP3 e-mail, Microsoft Outlook stops
responding after new e-mail messages arrive. You may receive an error message
that is similar to the following: Microsoft Outlook has
encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
