Some Arabic Letters at the Start of a Line Appear Clipped in Programs That Run on Windows 2000 (327007)

SYMPTOMS

When you type certain Arabic letters at the start of a line of text in a program that is running in Windows 2000, the first letter may appear to be clipped or cut off by the window edge.

Note Arabic text is typed from right to left.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if you format certain Arabic letters (for example, Teh ? [U+062A], Feh ? [U+0641], or Kaf ? [U+0643]) with the Arial, Times, Times New Roman, or Simplified Arabic font.

RESOLUTION
