SUMMARY

This article describes how to manually remove the files that are created when you download and run the Small Business Server (SBS) 2000 Service Pack 1a (SP1a) Web download.

NOTE: If you want to install SBS 2000 SP1a after you follow these steps, you must download SBS 2000 SP1a again.
  1. Open the folder in which you saved the Sbssp1a.exe file, and then delete the Sbssp1a.exe file. If you did not save this file to disk, it is not on your hard disk. Go to step 2.
  2. Open the folder in which you extracted the contents of the Sbssp1a.exe file. By default, this is the drive:\Documents and Settings\profile\Local Settings\Temp folder.
  3. Delete the following files from the drive:\Documents and Settings\profile\Local Settings\Temp folder:
    • Ex2ksp3_server.exe
    • Readme.htm
    • Sp1setup.exe
    • Update.exe
    • Updatesbs.msi
  4. Open the "drive:\Program Files\Microsoft Small Business Server SP1" folder, and then delete the following files from this folder:
    • Ex2ksp3_server.exe
    • Readme.htm
    • Sp1setup.exe
    • Updatesbs.msi
  5. Open the folder in which you saved the Ex2ksp3_server.exe file. By default, this is the drive:\Documents and Settings\profile\Local Settings\Temp folder.
  6. Delete the Server folder that is in the drive:\Documents and Settings\profile\Local Settings\Temp folder.
