SYMPTOMS

After you log on to your computer, the desktop may begin to blink. Because of this, you may be unable to use your computer.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if Explorer.exe repeatedly stops responding (hangs).

RESOLUTION

Service Pack Information

Hotfix Information

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional testing.
