XCON: Migration Wizard Does Not Start After You Upgrade to Exchange 2000 SP3 - Cannot Find MMFMIG32.dll (326794)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to start Migration Wizard after you upgrade to Exchange 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3), you may receive the following error message:
The dynamic link library Mmfmig32.dll could not be found in the specified path C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\Bin;,;C:\WINNT\System32;C:\WINNT\System;C:\WINNT;C:\WINNT\System32;C:\WINNT;C:\System32\Wbem.

CAUSE

When Migration Wizard starts, it looks for the Mmfmig32.dll file, and after you upgrade to Exchange 2000 SP3 the Mmfmig32.dll file does not exist in the Program Files\Exchsrvr\Bin folder.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, copy the Mmfmig32.dll file from the Setup\I386\Exchange folder on the Exchange 2000 CD-ROM, and then paste the Mmfmig32.dll file in the Program Files\Exchsrvr\Bin folder on the computer that Migration Wizard starts from.
