This article was previously published under Q326764 SYMPTOMS When a user who has Catalog Reader permissions runs a
script to change a property of a product or a property of a variant, the script
does run. However, the property value does not change.CAUSE This behavior occurs because the user does not have the
correct permissions. Although the value of the property does not change, the
user who ran the script does not receive an error message because the script
itself runs without errors.
