SYMPTOMS

When you import multilanguage catalogs (for example, when you import a Japanese language catalog on an English language computer), you may experience problems.

CAUSE

When you import a csv based catalog file, Commerce Server assumes that the language of the catalog is the same as that of the system code page.

WORKAROUND

Change the language of the system code page to match that of the import file, or use a version of the import file that is in Unicode format.
