PRB: Performance Degrades When You Aggregate Several Base Catalogs into a Virtual Catalog (326753)

When you create a Virtual Catalog from a large number of base catalogs, the process to retrieve products from the Virtual Catalog runs slowly. Also, the ASP might time out.
CAUSE
Rebuild and search functions slow down when you increase the number of base catalogs.
WORKAROUND
To work around the problem, select the lowest number of base catalogs when you create a Virtual Catalog.
STATUSThis behavior is by design.
