and the only time that you can maximize Outlook again is if you switch tasks in
the Task Manager.

and you do not receive an error message.
Personal Folder (.pst) Files Auto-Compact Only Runs for a Short Period
When a large amount of data has been deleted from an Outlook 2000
personal folders (.pst) file, Auto-Compact will only compact a very small
amount of the file.

To box that are longer that 256 characters in Outlook to send a
message to multiple recipients, the addresses may be truncated.

message, it does not work as expected. The shortcut does not reach the
recipient, and the body of your message is empty when it is received.

If you open a read-only post item which also contains a file
attachment in the Japanese version of Outlook 2000, you may receive the
following error when you try to save the post as an .msg file:
You do not have sufficient permission to perform this
operation on this object. See the folder contact or your system

the end of the file type information, the Outlook file attachment security
features may fail.
Deleted Attachments Are Sent After They Are Removed from a Message
When you send an encrypted Rich Text Format (RTF) message with an
attachment to a recipient that is not security enabled, you receive a prompt to
cancel or send the message unencrypted. If you cancel the dialog box, delete
the attachment, and send the message, the recipient receives the attachment as
expected.
Digitally Signed Messages Open Slowly When You Are Offline and Disconnected
If you open a digitally signed message while you are offline and
disconnected from the network, and the
CRL Checking option is turned on (enabled), it may take longer then expected

Inbox Assistant Rules Are Missing After You Upgrade
When you use a version of Microsoft Outlook that uses Inbox
Assistant Rules (for example, Microsoft Outlook for Macintosh) to set up rules
for your mailbox, and you upgrade the rules by accessing your mailbox from
Outlook 2000, your rules are missing or you cannot edit them if you go back to
the computer that is running the Inbox Assistance Rules.

contacts that are grouped by category.
MS-TNEF Encapsulation Included When Attachment Sent to Non-Exchange Recipient Listed in Global Address List
If you use Outlook 2000 to send an attached message to a contact
that was copied from the Global Address List, the message exits in the Exchange
Internet Mail Service encoded in a format that only Microsoft e-mail clients
understand. The resulting messages received by non-Microsoft e-mail clients
vary with the foreign system, but e-mail clients may see the attachments as
garbled text or random filenames with a .DAT file name extension.

profile in Outlook 2000, and then click to clear the

security issue if you start to type your password in the
User Name field.

on other operating systems.
