IME mode automatically changes when you open or when you create an Access file in Microsoft Windows 2000
The Input Method Editor (IME) mode automatically changes when
you:
- open or create a new Access database.
- close the database and then open the database.
- create a new database.
Fatal error occurs when you run code with the OpenReport method in Access 2000
You receive an error message similar to one of the following, and
then Access quits. This occurs when you run code that contains the
OpenReport method.

When you click

You cannot repair a password-protected database
When you open a database that has a database password, you
receive the following message:
The database database name needs to be repaired or isn't a database file.
You or another user may have unexpectedly quit Microsoft Access while a Microsoft Access database was open.
Do you want Microsoft Access to attempt to repair the database?
When you click
Yes, you get the message:
This occurs even when you enter a valid password, and Access
cannot repair the database.
Linked tables are not in the list of tables you can import to
The Import
filetype Wizard does not allow you to import data to an existing table.
The
In an Existing Table list does not include linked tables as a choice for the tables
that you can import data to.
Fatal error resetting code when function is not defined
You receive a fatal error message that is similar to one of the
following error messages, or Access stops responding after you reset code that
calls a function that is not defined:
Error message 1MSACCESS.EXE - Application Error
The instruction at "0x65009ea1" referenced memory at
"0x00fdffff". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to
terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
Error message 2 This program has performed an illegal
operation and will be shut down.

When you click Details, you receive the following message:
MSACCESS caused an invalid page fault in VBE6.dll at
015f:6502c37d.
Text data is converted to numeric data when you export to Excel
When you export a report with text data to Microsoft Excel, the
text data is converted from text to a number. This may occur when the data is
numeric characters with two periods. For example, the text string of 1.1.1 is
converted to 0.0423726851851852.
Chart intermittently displays sample data
Charts in Microsoft Access 2000 reports may intermittently
display sample data instead of real data when you Print or when you Print
Preview the report.
Access stops responding or generates ODBC call failed when connecting to Oracle
When you try to link to, or import tables or views from an Oracle
database, and there are more than 64,000 tables and views, Access stops
responding or generates the following error message when it tries to display
the table or view names:
ODBC Call Failed
100 percent CPU usage occurs when you hold left mouse button down
When you use any of the Office programs on a Microsoft Windows
2000-based computer, the CPU usage reaches 100 percent if you hold the left
mouse button down for more then a few seconds.
