WD2002: Orientation Changes That Are Made in the FilePrint Macro in Microsoft Word Do Not Appear on the Printed Document (326542)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Word 2002
- Microsoft Word 2000
This article was previously published under Q326542 SYMPTOMS
If you try to change the orientation of a Word document by using the Properties section of the FilePrint macro, the change in orientation may not appear in the printed document.
CAUSE
This behavior may occur because Word bypasses any changes that are made in the FilePrint macro. Word only implements changes that are made in the Page Setup dialog box.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use the Page Setup dialog box to change the orientation of your document. To do this, follow these steps:
- Start Word.
- On the File menu, click Page Setup.
- In the Page Setup dialog box, click the Margins tab.
- In the Orientation pane, click either Portrait or Landscape, and then click OK.
The orientation setting appears on the printed document.
