The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Word 2002, when used with:
- the operating system: Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition
This article was previously published under Q326532 SYMPTOMS
When you try to print a Word document that contains an embedded Microsoft PowerPoint slide, any clip art on the slide is not printed. Other components of the slide, such as lettering or background, may be printed successfully, but the clip art is not.
This behavior may occur if you use a Hewlett-Packard (HP) DeskJet 960cse printer and a Windows Millennium Edition-based computer.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, copy the slide from PowerPoint to the clipboard, and then paste it into your Word document as a picture. To do this, follow these steps:
- In PowerPoint, open the presentation that contains the slide that you want to copy.
- In the left pane, click the Slides tab, and then click the slide that you want.
- On the Edit menu, click Copy.
- Start Word, and then open the document into which you want to paste the slide.
- Click the location where you want the slide, and then click Paste Special on the Edit menu.
- Click Paste, click Picture in the list of available formats, and then click OK.
