All BizTalk Server 2002 editions have the same core feature set. The editions differ in the number of trading partners that are permitted, the number of applications that can be integrated, scalability, reliability and performance.

All editions of Microsoft BizTalk Server 2002 are available in the English, Japanese, German, and French languages.

The Partner Edition of BizTalk Server 2002 supports the installation of its required databases on the Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine (also known as MSDE 2000) and Microsoft SQL Server. The SQL Server Desktop Engine is included with the Microsoft BizTalk Server 2002 Partner Edition distribution media.
