This article was previously published under Q326131 Session SummaryDuring this Support WebCast, you will learn about the
various ways that you can deploy Microsoft Office XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) in an
enterprise computing environment. You will find out how to use Ohotfix.exe to
chain client-side patch deployment and administrative patching. Because SP2 is
a new baseline for Office XP, you will also hear how this will affect the
rollout of Office XP in an environment where previous versions of Office XP
have been deployed. You will also learn how to provide additional failover
resiliency for client-side patches and how to use some of the new tools that
are available on the Office Resource Kit site to manage patches in your
environment. This is a
Level
400 session that was recorded September 11, 2002 and presented by
Mark Plantenberg. Mark Plantenberg has been with Microsoft as an Office
Deployment Engineer in Product Support Services since May 1999 and has worked
with Premier Customers in Office Deployment for the past two years. Mark has
also been active in beta testing for Office 2000 and Office XP. He also deals
with patches for both products. He has provided internal training for Windows
Installer. Before Microsoft, Mark was a Network Administrator and worked with a
Microsoft Partner to develop a business solution for auto dealerships.
