SYMPTOMS
When you try to package an application, you may receive the
following error:
Error 5: Invalid procedure call or
argument.
RESOLUTION
Cause 1: Drive or Folder is Compressed
Resolution 1
Uncompress the folder to which you are packaging.
Resolution 2
If you want to save your files to a compressed drive or folder,
first package to an uncompressed drive or folder, and then move the files to
the compressed drive or folder.
Cause 2: OEM Version of Microsoft Office XP Professional and Retail Version of Microsoft Office XP Developer Installed
Resolution:
- Remove Office XP Developer.
- Remove the OEM version of Office XP
Professional.
- Restart your computer.
- Install both Office XP Professional with FrontPage and
Office XP Developer from the retail Office XP Developer suite.
Cause 3: Database Missing One or More References
Resolution
Resolve missing references.
Cause 4: Inappropriate Permissions to Packaging Location
Resolution
Either obtain full permissions, or package to a different
location where you have the appropriate permissions.
Cause 5: Linked Oracle or AS/400 tables, or Linked Microsoft Exchange Data

Cause 6: Not Enough Disk Space
Resolution
Free up some disk space, or package to a different location that
has enough space.
Cause 7: Database is Corrupted
Resolution
Repair your database.
