XL2001: Formulas Are Displayed in Cells, and Numbers Are Left-Aligned (325996)

SYMPTOMS

In the worksheet cells, Excel displays the formulas instead of the values that the formulas produce. Also, numbers are left-aligned.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs if the Formulas preferences option is turned on.

RESOLUTION

To turn this option off, follow these steps:
  1. On the Edit menu, click Preferences.
  2. Click the View tab.
  3. Under Window Options, click to clear the Formulas check box.
  4. Click OK.
