CAUSE

This issue may occur when the Microsoft XML parser (Msxml.dll) is not registered on the Exchange 2000 Server-based computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue:
  1. Quit all running programs.
  2. Click Start, click Run, type cmd in the Open box, and then press ENTER.
  3. At the command prompt, type tlist -m msxml.dll, and then press ENTER.

NOTE: Tlist.exe displays a list of active processes. You can install it together with a number of other Windows 2000 support tools by running Setup.exe from the Support\Tools folder on your Windows 2000 CD-ROM. You can also extract it directly from the Support\Tools\Support.cab file.

  5. To register Msxml.dll, type regsvr32 msxml.dll at the command prompt, and then press ENTER.
  6. Type exit, and then press ENTER to close the command prompt.
