FIX: HTTP POST Can Block After a POST Does Not Succeed (325912)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0
- Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0 SP1
This article was previously published under Q325912 SYMPTOMS
After an HTTP POST does not succeed, your next try to send a POST may be blocked. The third time you try, and later tries, the POST succeeds.
CAUSE
The POST that does not succeed is blocked when it waits for more information, which occurs because of the POST. Because the first POST does not succeed, no more information is sent. This causes a connection to be leaked, which might create a situation where all available connections are used and you cannot make more POSTs.
