BUG: Pocket PC 2002: Settings Are Not Retained in Sound Control Panel (325821)

SYMPTOMS

After you change the Screen Taps and Hardware Buttons sounds in the Sounds and Notifications applet, you may notice that the settings do not stay when you re-enter the applet.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs if you change the volume of the device by using the Speaker icon in the notification area (title bar).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
