SYMPTOMS

When you create new configurations from existing configurations (for example, when you copy "Debug" to a new configuration that is named "Debug Unicode"), some of the information from the old configuration is not copied correctly to the new configuration.

This problem can occur if you use the Visual Studio .NET Configuration Manager interactively or if you use the VCConfiguration.CopyTo method in Visual C# code to create the new configuration from an existing configuration.
