PSVR2002: You Are Repeatedly Prompted for Domain, User Name, and Password When You Try to Log On Through Microsoft Project Web Access (325711)

When you try to log on to a Microsoft Project Server 2002 computer by using Microsoft Project Web Access, you may be repeatedly prompted for your user name, password, and domain, even though you have already been authenticated one time.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs if both of the following conditions are true:
- The Microsoft Project Server computer is on a server that is part of an untrusted domain.
-and- - The first time that you type your Microsoft Project Server user name and password, at least one of these elements is not valid.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, follow these steps:
- Quit all instances of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
- Start Internet Explorer, and then connect to the Microsoft Project Server computer in the untrusted domain.
- Type your user name, domain, and password in the appropriate boxes, and then click OK.
- Type a valid user name and password for this Microsoft Project Server computer.
