XADM: You Cannot Soft Delete or Move Messages If the Mailbox Is Over Its Quota Limit and You Use a Store Event Sink (325445)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server

This article was previously published under Q325445

SUMMARY

If a Web store event sink is turned on for folders and a mailbox is over its quota, you may not be able to soft delete mail from the Inbox or move mail between folders in the mailbox.

When you try to delete or move mail, you may receive the following error message:
The item could not be deleted. It was either moved or already deleted, or access was denied.
If no store event sink is registered or turned on locally for this mailbox or globally for the mailbox store, you can still soft delete messages or move messages in the mailbox, even if the mailbox is over its quota.
