Session Summary

When SMS 2.0 site servers experience performance problems, such as excessive CPU utilization, memory starvation, excessive disk utilization, MIF or DDR backlogs, and slow SMS Administrator consoles, upgrading the hardware is not always the best solution. This session will cover practical troubleshooting techniques, discuss known problems, and offer configuration suggestions that will enable you to better tune your site servers for optimal performance.

This is a Level 200 session that was recordedDATE and presented by Bruce Jones. Bruce Jones joined Microsoft six years ago as a support professional in Product Support Services. He has been supporting Systems Management Server beginning with SMS version 1.1, and he is currently with SMS Alliance support. During this time, Bruce has written a variety of SMS-related white papers, and he presented the "Handling Duplicate Systems in SMS 2.0" WebCast.
