PPT2001: Problems When You View a Slide Show on a System with a Secondary Monitor (325190)

When you view a slide show on a system that includes a secondary monitor, such as a slide projector, and then you remove the secondary monitor, you may experience one or both of the following behaviors:
- The slide show does not start.
- You cannot quit PowerPoint.
These symptoms may be intermittent.
CAUSE
This behavior may occur under the following scenario:
- You connect a secondary monitor, such as a slide projector.
- You view a slide show on the secondary monitor and then save the presentation.
- You shut down the computer and then disconnect the secondary monitor.
- You restart the computer and then try to view the slide show.
This behavior may occur if there is a problem with the PowerPoint Settings (9) file.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, move the following file into the Trash:
Macintosh HD:System Folder:Preferences:Microsoft:PowerPoint Settings (9)
