Session Summary



In this session, we will discuss multiple instances, a new feature in Microsoft SQL Server 2000. We will begin with an overview, followed by the end-user implementation details, benefits, rules, and limitations. We will also talk about the applicability of this feature, and then review some known issues.

This is a Level 100 session that was recorded March 22, 2001 and presented by Jyothi Pai. Jyothi Pai joined Microsoft in May 1999 as a SQL Server Support Professional. She has a master's degree in Computer Science and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. She has more than two years of experience in the area of relational databases, and has been working with Microsoft SQL Server since version 6.5. Her specialization has been in the area of database management.
