In this session, you will hear about Microsoft's newest management product, Microsoft Operations Manager 2000. You will learn not only what operations management is, but also what features Microsoft Operations Manager 2000 provides, its architecture and components, and how it compares to Microsoft Systems Management Server 2.0.

This is a Level 200 session that was recorded March 27, 2001 and presented by Wally Mead. Wally Mead has been with Microsoft for almost nine years. He started in the training organization, where he delivered training on LAN Manager. He began working with SMS in 1994, and has been involved in the development and delivery of all SMS training courses for Microsoft. He now works for the SMS product group in the Early Adopter Program (EAP) group, and provides training for EAP members.
