session, we will highlight a number of the new merge replication features that
were added to SQL Server 2000. In addition to the highlights, this presentation
will cover, in detail, the concurrent merge processing governor and metadata
management features, which were designed to improve the consistency and
performance of synchronization in a production environment. This is a

Casey. Thomas Casey is the product unit manager for Microsoft SQL Server
Replication. He was formerly the program manager in SQL Server Replication
responsible for merge replication, since its introduction in SQL Server 7.0.
