Session Summary



During this session, we will take a close look at the Data Transformation Services (DTS) job scheduling process. We will review the security contexts that are involved while scheduling the package, for example, SQLAgentCmdExec. We will talk about issues regarding package scheduling involving third-party products like Oracle, and known issues with package scheduling and troubleshooting.

This is a Level 200 session that was recorded October 23, 2001 and presented by Gopal Ashok. Gopal Ashok joined Microsoft in September 1999. He has been a support professional in the SQL Server team concentrating primarily on DTS and also replication issues. Gopal has worked with a wide variety of DTS-related issues and is currently a member of the Data Services team in SQL Server.
