Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3) fixes the following application compatibility problems:
- When you click About on the Help menu in the Best Software FAS Asset Accounting version 2001 program, an access violation may occur.

The insertion of an extremely long marker in an Advanced Streaming Format (.asf) file may cause a buffer overrun in WMP, which permits malicious code to run in the security context of the current user. - Long Embedded Script in ASF File Causes Buffer Overrun in WMP
WMP truncates script commands longer than 4096 bytes but does not stop the truncated string, which permits malicious code to run in the security context of the current user. - Cannot Reinitiate Feed After Link Between Server and Encoder Is Dropped
After the link between the WMP 7.1 encoder and the server is dropped, you must restart the server to reinitiate Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP) broadcasts.
