A Stop 0x7F error occurs on a computer that is running Windows XP or Windows 2000 (324828)

SYMPTOMS

You receive a Stop 0x7F error on a computer that is running Microsoft Windows XP or Microsoft Windows 2000.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if a program calls the BitBlt Graphics Device Interface (GDI) function with a large rectangle. The rectangle size may cause the bInitPlgDDA GDI function to divide by zero.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was first corrected in Windows XP Service Pack 1 and Windows 2000 Service Pack 4.
