The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Application Center 2000
This article was previously published under Q324825 SYMPTOMSIf you try to connect a server in the Application Center New Deployment Wizard, you may receive the following error message: Unable
to connect to the specified deployment target. Make sure that the target server
is part of an Application Center cluster and that the credentials have
administrative privileges.
Could not connect to the server. Verify that
the server exists, that it is part of an Application Center cluster, that it
has the correct network and DNS settings, and that the credentials supplied
have administrative privileges on the server.
The RPC Server is
unavailable (0x800706ba) CAUSEThis problem occurs because the Application Center 2000 Synchronization Service was stopped on an Application Center 2000 target server. If this service is stopped,
you cannot replicate or deploy to that server.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, set the Application Center Synchronization Service
to Automatic, and then start the service. This is the default
configuration.
