Session Summary
During this Support WebCast, we will introduce the
common language runtime, the execution engine of Microsoft .NET platform. We'll
look at the benefits of the common language runtime, such as garbage
collection, just-in-time (JIT) compilation, and common type system. We'll also
briefly discuss the execution model, assemblies, intermediate language,
metadata, and other topics. This session will provide a high-level overview as
well as a look at how various features work. You should find it very useful.

Lakshminarayanan. Akhila works for the DS SWAT team for .NET technologies as a
Developer Support Professional and specializes in the common language runtime.
She holds a bachelor's degree in computer science and is pursuing her master's
degree in computer science at the University of Texas, Arlington. She currently
supports developers and helps resolve their issues in .NET technologies by
troubleshooting and debugging the problems.
