Rdxr020305.dat File Appears on the Desktop After You Delete the File (324766)

SYMPTOMS

A file named Rdxr020305.dat may appear on your desktop. If you delete this file, it is recreated again on your desktop.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the StreamCast Networks program Morpheus is installed on the computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, remove Morpheus, unregister the Bpboh.dll file, and then delete the Bpboh.dll file. To do so, follow these steps.

Step 1: Remove Morpheus

  1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Click Add or Remove Programs.
  3. In the Currently installed programs list, click Morpheus, and then click Change/Remove.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to remove Morpheus.

Step Unregister and Delete the Bpboh.dll File

To unregister and delete the Bpboh.dll file, follow these steps.

Unregister Bpboh.dll

  1. Click Start, and then click Search.
  2. Click All files and folders.
  3. In the All or part of the file name box, type bpboh.dll, and then click Search.
  4. Make a note of the path to the Bpboh.dll file on your hard disk. For example, C:\Windows.
  5. Click Start, click Run, type cmd in the Open box, and then press ENTER.
  6. At the command prompt, type the following line, and then press ENTER, where path is the path to the Bpboh.dll file on your hard disk:

    regsvr32 /u path\bpboh.dll

    For example, if the Bpboh.dll file is located in C:\Windows, type the following line, and then press ENTER:

    regsvr32 /u c:\windows\bpboh.dll

  7. Click OK if you are prompted to restart the computer.

Delete Bpboh.dll

  1. Click Start, and then click Search.
  2. Click All files and folders.
  3. In the All or part of the file name box, type bpboh.dll, and then click Search.
  4. In the Search Results dialog box, right-click Bpboh.dll, and then click Delete.
  5. Click Yes when you are prompted to confirm the deletion.
