Incorrect Desktop Icon Font Size in Traditional Chinese Windows XP (324579)

SYMPTOMS

The correct font size may not appear for icons on the desktop if you right-click the desktop, click Properties, click the Appearance tab, and then click Large in the Font Size box.

This problem occurs only in the Traditional Chinese language version of Windows XP.

CAUSE

In the Traditional Chinese version of Windows XP, the font size information in the Windows XP default theme file is the same for "normal" and "large" fonts for desktop icons.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
