The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Metadirectory Services 2.2 SP1

This article was previously published under Q324576

SYMPTOMS

The ADMA control script may not run when you are using ADMA in your Compass client.

CAUSE

This behavior may occur if the ADMA control script has been modified. After the script is modified, you may be able to process the ADMA control script only by calling the ADMA from the command line. To do so, use the control script interpreter, Zscript.exe.

RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior, use Zscript.exe to run the ADMA control script. For example:

C:\zoomserv\bin>zscript.exe -dn "ma=TestADMA,DsaName=Server1,ou=Applications,dc=microsoft,dc=com" -define DeltaScheduledUpdate=true

MORE INFORMATION

The MA Control Script controls the three phases of management agent:
  • Discovery
  • Synchronization
  • Update
You may want to modify the control script to perform actions such as log file backup.
