XCON: E-mail Messages Sent Over X.400 Connector Are Truncated (324526)

SYMPTOMS

If e-mail messages are sent over an X.400 connector between two Exchange Server 5.5 servers, the messages may arrive in the recipient's mailbox missing some fields in the header. The messages are also approximately 20 bytes shorter than similar messages that were sent at the same time. The body of the e-mail messages are not affected.

NOTE: This problem occurs only if the "Allow Exchange Contents" check box is not selected for the connector.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

The English version of this fix has the file attributes (or later) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in coordinated universal time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.
