Session Summary



In this session we will review the different types of controls available in ASP.NET, including HTML controls, validation controls, WebForms controls, list controls, and rich controls. We will cover databinding in .NET, and then we will discuss custom controls, including user controls, composite controls, and Web control libraries. The final subject will be integrating custom controls with the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET integrated development environment (IDE).

This is a Level 200 session that was recorded July 11, 2002 and presented by Richard Guthrie. Richard Guthrie has been involved in developing many large-scale Web applications using the Microsoft ASP platform over the past 7 years, since the release of ASP 2.0. Richard is an MCSD, MCDBA, and MCSE, and he currently works as a support professional on the Microsoft ASP.NET Developer Support Team.
