WD2002: Header Is Not Inserted with Body Text When You Insert Document (324327)

SYMPTOMS

If you delete a header from a document, and then insert another document that contains a header, the header of the new document may not be inserted.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, do one of the following:
  • When you delete the header from the first document, select only the text of the header (do not include the paragraph mark in the selection), and then press DELETE or BACKSPACE.

    -or-
  • Insert a continuous section break at the end of the document that you are inserting. To insert a continuous section break, follow these steps:
    1. In the document that you are inserting, click at the end of the document.
    2. On the Insert menu, click Break.
    3. Click Continuous, and then click OK.
    4. On the File menu, click Save.
