You See a Black Video Window in Windows Movie Maker with a Variable Data Rate Digital Video 1394 Device (324300)

SYMPTOMS

When you are recording in Windows Movie Maker with a digital video 1394 device that supports non-S100 data rates, you may see a black window in Windows Movie Maker.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the 61883.sys driver does not detect the supported data rates correctly.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows XP. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

The English version of this fix has the file attributes (or later) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in coordinated universal time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.

STATUS
