Cannot migrate Lotus Notes Personal Name and Address Book contacts to the Outlook contacts folder (324299)

SUMMARY

If you perform a migration from Lotus Domino to Exchange Server 5.5 or Exchange 2000, you may want to migrate the personal contacts of Lotus Notes users. You cannot use Migration Wizard (Migwiz.exe), which is installed with Exchange Server 5.5 and Exchange 2000, to migrate the personal contacts from the Lotus Notes client computer because the personal contacts are stored in the client's Personal Name and Address Book file (which is typically named Names.nsf). This file is stored locally on the Notes client. The Personal Name and Address Book file of the Notes client is similar to the Personal Address Book (.pab) files that you use in Microsoft Outlook to store contacts locally.

You can use comma separated values (.csv) files to export and import the Personal Names and Address Book file; however, Microsoft Product Support Services (PSS) has tested this method and has concluded that using .csv files to migrate contacts may be very time consuming. Additionally, you can use one of several third-party migration tools that are available. For example, you can use a third-party product called Transend Migrator by Transend Corporation to migrate contacts from Lotus Notes to Exchange Server 5.5.
