SYMPTOMS

After you apply the domain policy to control a computer's behavior when a user tries to install an unsigned driver, the policy on the local computer may remain set to " Warn."

RESOLUTION

Service pack information

WORKAROUND

To modify this behavior on a local computer, click Driver Signing on the Hardware tab in the System tool in Control Panel.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2.
