DNS queries fail when the domain suffix ends with a period (324057)

SYMPTOMS

If a device's Domain Name System (DNS) domain suffix ends with a period, the system cannot resolve application DNS requests for host names that are not fully qualified domain names (FQDN).

Prerequisites

This hotfix is supported only when all previously issued hotfixes for this product have been installed.

Restart requirement

After you install this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To clean the platform, click Clean on the Build menu. To build the platform, click Build Platform on the Build menu.
