The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Solution Offering - Microsoft SQL Server Accelerator for Business Intelligence

This article was previously published under Q323903

SYMPTOMS

In Analytics Builder Workbook, any object name and object ID that uses the restricted character can only be trapped when you click the validate sheet button. When you use the restricted right bracket ] character as the right-most character in the Measure Name in the pMeasure worksheet, and you press the TAB key to move out of the Measure Name column, Excel may stop responding. All work that you did not save will be lost.

WORKAROUND

The only way to quit Excel is to use End Task in Microsoft Windows Task Manager.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
