MIME Type Changed to Unknown MIME Type After You Restart Site Builder (323660)

SYMPTOMS

When you replace a resource in Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS) by using either Site Builder or the Web browser client, MCMS determines whether the appropriate MIME type is loaded on the server. In some situations, you may receive one of the following error messages:

In Site Builder:
Resource "New_Resource_Filename" is a different file type than resource "Old_Resource_Filename". Replace cancelled.
In the Web browser client:
WBC - MIME Content-Types do not match. <New resource MIME type> does not match " "Original resource MIME type>

RESOLUTION

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Microsoft Content Management Server 2001 service pack that contains this hotfix.

When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.

Note Because of file dependencies, this update requires Microsoft Content Management Server 2001 Service Pack 1.
