"Old file not found" error message when you try to install Links Update v1.21 (323447)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to install the Microsoft Links 2001 Update v1.21, you may receive an error message similar to the following:
Old file not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents match.

CAUSE

This behavior may occur if you have Microsoft Links Championship Edition, which already includes the Links Update v1.21. If you have Links Championship Edition, you do not need this update.
