Links LS 98: Program Stops Responding (Hangs) or Courses Do Not Have Animation (323443)

RESOLUTION

Part 1: Remove Links LS 1998

1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
3. In the list of installed programs, click Links LS 1998, and then click Remove.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the removal process.

Part 2: Reinstall Links LS 1998 Using the Program Compatibility Wizard

1. Insert the Links 98 CD into the CD-ROM drive or DVD-ROM drive. Hold down the SHIFT key to prevent the Setup program from starting automatically.
2. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Program Compatibility Wizard.
3. When the Program Compatibility Wizard dialog box appears, read the information, and then click Next.
4. Click I want to use the program in the CD-ROM drive, and then click Next.
5. Click Microsoft Windows 98/Windows Me, and then click Next.
6. Click to select the Disable visual themes check box, and then click Next.
7. To test the program, click Next.
8. Do one of the following:
   • If the program works as expected, click Yes, set this program to always use these compatibility settings.
     
     Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
   • If the program does not work as expected, click No, try different compatibility settings, and then follow the on-screen instructions to change the compatibility settings to a different operating system.
     
     When the program works successfully, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
